The self-titled debut from Deep State Thrombosis is a heavy slab of industrialized raw techno from the artist behind 8 Hour Animal and Father Fister. Drawing from the heavier end of the genre, with parallels to Ancient Methods and Ansome, it layers distorted rhythms and degraded textures over a foundation of surgical imagery and conspiracy. The record traces a line through systems of control, bodily intrusion, and institutional decay. It doesn’t build toward resolution, just deeper in.
